Grit
Factory

Tube·Tape·Fuzz·Germ·Wave

Five saturation circuits, an American-style EQ, and a transient recovery system that hands back the punch that drive takes away. One cream-colored box that works like hardware — because it sounds like hardware.

What's in the box

Built to be leaned on

Grit Factory is the channel piece you reach for when a track is technically fine and emotionally flat. Push it until it feels right.

Five flavors of saturation

Tube, tape, fuzz, germ and wave — each with three voicings, A through C. Fifteen circuits behind one Drive knob.

American-style EQ

Three big, musical bands with shelf options — and a Fine gain mode for when half a dB is the whole move.

Transient recovery

A detection circuit that catches the hit and hands it back after the drive. Smash the tone, keep the punch.

Flexible filters

Dedicated high- and low-pass filters, each switchable pre or post the whole circuit.

The interface

One panel. No mysteries.

Every control on a single panel you can read from across the room. The window is fully resizable — laptop screen to control-room glass.

Saturation matrix: Tube, Tape, Fuzz, Germ, Wave with A/B/C voicings, Mix, Drive and Output knobs

Saturation

Fifteen ways to run hot

Five saturation types, each in three voicings. Pick a flavor, sweep the Drive, blend it in with Mix, and trim with Output while the VU tells you how hard you're leaning.

Three voices to choose from and between them lives most of the last fifty years of records.

TUBETAPEFUZZGERMWAVE
EQ section: Low, Mid, High frequency and gain knobs with shelf, in, fine and pre switches

EQ Section

An EQ that pushes forward

Three bands of confident, American-style curves with switchable low and high shelves. PRE places the EQ ahead of the saturation so you can shape what hits the circuit; FINE scales every gain move for surgical passes; IN gives you an honest bypass.

Transient Recovery section: Attack, Sensitivity, Window knobs, In/Solo/Key switches, HP and LP filters

Transient Recovery

Keep the punch you paid for

Saturation trades attack for warmth — that's the deal. The Transient Recovery system listens for the hit with Attack, Sensitivity and Window controls, then hands it back on the other side of the drive.

SOLO the detector to tune it by ear, or feed the KEY input from any track in your session and let a sidechain run the circuit.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers

How does the free trial work?
Fourteen days, every feature, no card — you'll just create a free Punch Audio account (which joins the newsletter) to start it. When the trial lapses, Grit Factory stops processing audio until you activate a license — your sessions and settings stay exactly as you left them.
How does activation work?
Buy, sign in from the plugin, done — no iLok, no dongle. Your license covers up to two machines at once, and offline activation is available for studio computers that never see the internet.
What formats and DAWs?
AU, VST3 and AAX, as a universal binary for Apple silicon and Intel. Requires macOS 15 or newer. Tested in Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton Live; at home in any host that speaks those formats.
Is there a Windows version?
Grit Factory is macOS-only at launch. If Windows matters to you, tell us — support@punchaudioplugins.com — it helps us decide what's next.
What's the refund policy?
Seven days, full refund. If Grit Factory isn't your sound, write to us and we'll take care of it.

Launch news, new preset banks, and the occasional deal. No noise — we hate noise that isn't saturation.
